About Oliver

After completing my Accounting and Finance degree, I realised I had more of an interest in the investment side of financial services. So I decided to study a Masters in Finance and Investment. After completing my studies, I was introduced to Lifestyle Financial Planning in my first role as a technical analyst at a small financial planning firm based in north Leeds.

During my two and a half years at that firm I progressed to the position of financial planner, before being offered the opportunity to join the fantastic team at Cordiner Wealth. I’m now working through my exams with the ultimate aim of becoming Chartered, while continuing to develop my financial planning skills.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Seeing the difference I can make to someone’s life by helping them retire early and live their ideal lifestyle doing the things that are most important to them. All without the fear of running out of money.

Your favourite way to spend a day off…
Going out for breakfast with my girlfriend, a long dog walk and a round of golf. Followed by a swim and sauna (especially in the cold winter months!).

Good coffee, a walk with my dog, a French Bulldog called Penny, a round of golf (though this can also make my day worse!).
An achievement you’re really proud of…
Winning the Yorkshire Cup with West Park Leeds Rugby Club.

I was on once on the TV show Helicopter Heroes after injuring my neck playing rugby.
