About Ben
I came into financial planning after spending the first part of my career following university, in recruitment. My father-in-law, who ran his own financial planning firm, saw that I had the potential to become a financial planner and encouraged me to leave my career in recruitment behind and study for my financial planning qualifications.
Starting as a self-employed adviser, I then drove the strategy to form what has since become Cordiner Wealth. My role is split between Managing Director and hands-on financial planner. As MD, I keep in regular communication with the team to discuss client cases and monitor client investment portfolios. As a financial planner, I prepare and review clients’ financial plans ahead of progress meetings, meet with clients and prospective clients and respond to any questions and queries that arise between meetings.
My specialisms include advising business owners, helping them to align their business and personal finances, retirement income planning – helping develop sustainable withdrawal strategies for clients at and in retirement – and Inheritance Tax planning.
